Dr. Julie A. Abboud

Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Master of Science

Dr. Julie Abboud graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in biology with a chemistry minor. She then received a master’s degree in biology from Loyola University Chicago. She also earned a doctorate in podiatric medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago.

Dr. Julie then completed an intensive three-year residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, which is one of the largest podiatric surgical residencies in the country. She received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at the Chicago Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Center. Dr. Julie enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle care with particular interest in diabetic foot care, wound care and chronic nerve pain. She is faculty for The American Extremity Nerve Surgeons and currently sits on the board as secretary.

Dr. Julie was born and raised in Gurnee, Illinois. She moved to Greenville in May 2011 and opened the Greenville Foot and Ankle Center.

In her free time, Dr Julie enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, cooking, golfing and running. She has run many road races, half marathons and the 1999 Chicago Marathon.

Dr. Julie’s husband, David Immel, is a personal trainer and the owner of EVEN FLOW Movement Therapies which shares an office suite with Greenville Foot and Ankle Center.
